Cutcut council thanks Lazatin for road, barangay hall construction

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga – The Cutcut Barangay Council, headed by Chairwoman Cecilia Nepomuceno, on February 27 expressed their gratitude to Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin for spearheading the construction of roads in the village and the rehabilitation of the Cutcut Barangay Hall in cooperation with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

“On behalf of the Cutcut Barangay Council and residents, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Congressman Lazatin,” Nepomuceno said.

Lazatin is set to join the Cutcut Barangay Council today and lead in the inauguration of the newly-constructed road in Sitio Mali and in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the road in Leen Street and rehabilitation of the Cutcut Barangay Hall.

The construction of the 200 meter long road in Leen Street and the rehabilitation of the Cutcut Barangay Hall amount to P1,150,000 and P500,000, respectively, the funds for which have been allocated from Lazatin’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).

Also expected to join Lazatin and Chairwoman Nepomuceno in the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony are members of Team Lazatin, Chairwoman Nepomuceno’s son, incumbent Councilor Bryan Nepomuceno, Lazatin’s son, Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., CPA-lawyer Nino Enriquez, and veteran broadcaster Max Sangil, members of the Cutcut Barangay Council Kagawad Juanito Dayrit, Emerenciana Sigua, Beatriz Angeles, Roy Ogurida, Gina Nulud, Fernando Bondoc, and Cristina Cayanan, and representatives from the DPWH, District Engineer Tito Salvador and Assistant District Engineer Orvill Gamboa.

Lazatin inter-TODA basketball cup opens

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga – Councilor Bryan Nepomuceno, Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., Atty. Nino Enriquez, and Max Sangil, members of Team Lazatin, the official slate of Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, on February 9 opened the Inter-Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) Basketball Cup they sponsored in Barangay Santo Domingo here.

Six teams from various TODAs in Barangay Santo Domingo will be participating in the basketball cup. The teams are Villa Leoncia TODA, L&S TODA, San Angelo TODA, Villa Angela TODA, Villa Dolores TODA, and SDAC TODA.

Congressman Lazatin gave P40,000 for the basketball tournament, which will be used for the prizes of the winning teams.

In addition to a trophy, the winning teams will also be awarded with a cash prize; the champion team will receive P5,000, the 1st runner up will receive P3,000, the 2nd runner up will receive P2,000, and the 3rd runner up will receive P1,000.

The two remaining teams who will not place in the tournament will also receive a consolation prize of P500 each.

Two games will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The tournament will have a total of 23 games in a single round-robin schedule and is expected to conclude by the second week of March.

Barangay Santo Domingo officials, Kagawad Alvin Manalastas, Kagawad Oliver Chaneco, Kagawad Jose Liscano, Jr., and Kagawad Romanito Yusi, Jr. are in charge of overseeing the basketball cup.
